Sweden has around 40 institutions, many of which are ranked among the best in the world, such as Uppsala University, Lund University, and Stockholm University. Sweden was one of the first countries in Europe to move to English-language education, with over 900 degrees to select from.

Citizens of the EU/EEA and those with a permanent Swedish residency permit are entitled to free education in Sweden. Others may be required to pay tuition fees ranging from 80,000 to 140,000 SEK each year (about 8,000 to 15,000 EUR or 9,000 to 17,000 USD). For people from outside the EU/EEA, there is additionally an application cost.

How to Get Started

If you wish to study in Sweden, regardless of what subject you want to pursue or which university you want to attend, you must apply through one official, centralized website: https://bit.ly/3sD04ec

Student visas are required.

Students from the EU/EEA do not need to obtain a visa to study in Sweden. If you are not from the EU or EEA, you may need to apply for a student visa. Consult the Swedish authorities for information on how to comply with the law.

Graduates' job market

Sweden is home to a number of globally successful companies, such as Volvo, IKEA, and H&M, as well as some of the most innovative startups in recent years, such as Skype and Spotify. Even if their knowledge of Swedish is insufficient, skilled international graduates can obtain a foot in the door of the Swedish job market thanks to the internationality of such firms and the high fluency of English among Swedes. The Swedish government has also made an attempt to reduce red tape for foreign nationals wishing to work in the country.

Climate

Sweden, like its Nordic neighbors, is noted for its harsh winters and short, pleasant summers. While the winters are long and gloomy, the summers are especially enjoyable because the sky never truly darkens. Swedes commemorate the summer solstice, also known as "midsummer," in late/mid-June.

Transportation

Sweden is situated between Finland and Norway in the far north of Europe. Stockholm Arlanda, the country's major international airport, serves approximately 170 destinations globally. Most of Sweden's minor university towns are near municipal airports that may be reached via Arlanda or Bromma, Stockholm's second, largely domestic airport.
(A word of caution for first-time visitors: be aware of taxi scammers and always double-check costs on the window sticker.) In Sweden, many things are heavily regulated, yet taxi pricing is not.) Sweden has a well-developed train system as well as a number of overland bus operators.

Thanks!
